Mahicantuk, “River that flows two ways.” It highlights that this waterway - more than a river - is a tidal estuary, emphasizing the mobility of life and multiple ways to flow and interact. This idea captures many things from the nature of water itself; the constant expanding flow, and the multiple paths we take. With and without intention our life connects with this behavior in many ways; the unpredictability, the unplanned, the possible, and impossible encounters and the multiple threads of possibilities along the way. Water is probably our most intimate and needed element, and hard to believe, it is still lacking in many communities around the world.

This community tape installation intends to offer a space to explore water forms in different ways and by opening the project to the community we open the outcome to the unpredictable, the result may be a complete mix of intention and chance, a little similar to life itself.
