One day in the life of the Bronx River was the culminating event for a NYSCA Grant received in 2024 -
The Bronx River serves as a critical natural resource within the urban landscape, significantly influencing the local ecosystem and the quality of life of the community. Its health directly affects not only the park and the wildlife, but also the many trails and pathways that embrace community engagement and outdoor activities.
The art installation aimed to showcase how all these elements—pathways, streets, bridges, architecture, and the flowing water—interact in a particular arrangement of converging curves. This interplay can be viewed as a coexisting dance that enhance the connection between the community and the river.
